Mediation Process and Case Study: Maijamäki school, Naantali

In the second phase of the students’ training, we delved deeper into the actual mediation situation. We went through the mediation process and its various stages. We considered different situations that could be mediated in school. We selected a few of them and went through the cases by role-playing. The students found this method somewhat challenging but very rewarding. They also received a list of helpful questions for mediation in different situations. We have also jointly considered how we will practically implement this in our school.

The picture shows four of the students who have undergone this training. We will be heading to the meeting in Portugal with them. We can’t wait to meet the other schools involved in the project!
